CITB SMSTS (In Classroom)

The 5-day CITB Site Managers Safety Training Scheme is the premier Health & Safety Qualification for construction professionals, including Managers, Supervisors, Foremen, Project Managers, Site Engineers, Architects, and team leaders. This course, with over ten thousand students annually, is the industry standard for safe construction site management, recognized by the UK Contractors Group.

Program Content:

• The Health and Safety at Work Act
• Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations
• Risk assessments and method statements
• Recent changes in accepted working practices
• Behavioral safety
• Management of occupational health
• Electricity, excavations, working at height
• Scaffolding, demolition, confined spaces

Entry Requirements:

A strong grasp of English (spoken, written, and reading) is essential, as the course is exclusively conducted in English.

Course Materials:

All required course materials, including the CITB Construction Site Safety GE700 publication, are provided, and students retain these resources.

Assessment:

Full attendance and daily interactive assessments, including individual and group exercises, case studies, and a final-day multiple-choice test, are mandatory.

Qualification & Renewal:

Graduates receive the CITB Site Safety Plus SMSTS Qualification Certificate, valid for 5 years. Renewal involves a 2-day SMSTS Refresher course every 5 years.

Grants Available:
