CITB SSSTS (Virtual)

The CITB SSSTS is a comprehensive 2-day classroom-based training program, undertaken by over ten thousand students annually, designed to provide essential safety training for effective construction site supervision. Recognized by the UK Contractors Group (UKCG), it’s considered the industry standard for staff, including supervisors, foremen, project managers, and client-facing personnel, to ensure safe site supervision.

Course Content:

• The Health and Safety at Work Act.
• Site-specific challenges faced by supervisors.
• Effective toolbox talks.
• Occupational health supervision.
• Behavioral safety.

Entry Requirements:

Students are required to have a good command of spoken and written English, as the course is conducted exclusively in English.

Course Materials:

All necessary course materials are provided, including the Site Supervision Simplified GE706 and Toolbox Talk resources.

Assessment:

Successful completion requires attendance on both days, with continuous interactive assessment throughout, including individual and group exercises, case studies, and a final-day multiple-choice test.

Qualification & Renewal:

Graduates receive the CITB Site Safety Plus SSSTS Qualification Certificate, valid for 5 years. Renewal is achieved through a 1-day SSSTS Refresher course, or students may consider upgrading to the 5-day CITB SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) course after 5 years.

Grants Available:

Companies registered with CITB for Grant and Levy purposes may qualify for a £140 grant, subject to CITB approval. Grant processing involves providing company details, including the Company Name, Registered Address, and CITB Levy number during class registration.

In-House Training:

We also offer in-house training, allowing for training sessions at your company premises on dates of your choice. Please reach out for further details regarding this option. Note that a minimum class size of 6 students is required for the CITB SSSTS course.
