The Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) is the accredited body for all CCNSG training programs. CCNSG courses provide foundational knowledge of site safety requirements, with the popular 2-day CCNSG Safety Passport course. Students can also opt for an additional day of training for CCNSG Leading a Team Safely.
The Client/Contractor National Safety Group (CCNSG) Safety Passport scheme ensures that contractors in engineering, manufacturing, and construction have the necessary health and safety training. This initiative standardizes training and reduces unaccredited programs.
A one-day Renewal course must be completed within three months of the Safety Passport’s expiration date.
Course Content:
Students will gain insights into safety behaviors at work, the Health & Safety Act 1974, risk assessment, fire safety, manual handling, confined spaces, asbestos awareness, COSHH, signage, environmental considerations, incident reporting, and RIDDOR. Additionally, students will learn effective communication and safe team leadership.
Entry Requirements:
Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing English is essential, as the course is conducted exclusively in English.
Assessment:
The course is highly interactive, featuring daily assessments through case studies, group exercises, and a final multiple-choice test. Full attendance is mandatory.
Qualification:
Upon successful completion, students will receive an ECITB CCNSG Card or ECITB CCNSG Leading a Team Safely Card. The qualification is valid for three years, after which students can renew it with a 1-day CCSNG Renewal course, extending their qualification for an additional three years.
