Candidates/Students receive a Mental Health First Aid Certificate endorsed by MHFA England (Mental Health First Aid England are endorsed by the The Department of Health: National Institute of Mental Health in England (NIMHE).

Duration: 2 Days

This 2-day Mental Health First Aid Course, designed by MHFA England (Mental Health First Aid), is the licensed training program for Mental Health First Aid. Our instructors are accredited by MHFA England to provide this essential training.

Delegates will gain the skills to support their own and others’ wellbeing. The course empowers delegates to recognize signs and symptoms of mental health issues and guide individuals to the right support, including sensitive topics such as suicide and self-harm.

Course Content & Overview:

Action planning for using MHFA.
Mental health aspects related to alcohol, drugs, anxiety disorders, and psychosis.
Understanding bipolar disorder and cognitive distortions.
Crisis first aid for acute psychosis and after traumatic events.
Addressing depression, eating disorders, and anxiety disorders.
Providing first aid for suicidal crises.
Awareness of the impact of mental health issues.
Developing non-judgmental listening skills.
Exploring personality disorders, recovery, and risk factors.
Mental health self-care and understanding self-harm.
Combating stigma and discrimination.
Understanding suicide figures, depression symptoms, and mental health in general
Recognizing warning signs of developing psychosis and anxiety disorders.

Entry Requirements

A good command of reading, spoken, and written English is essential since the course is exclusively conducted in English.

Course Materials:

All necessary course materials are provided for participants to keep, including the Mental Health First Aid Manual and Workbook.

Assessment:

Students must attend both days and all sessions of the training course. While there is no formal assessment, active participation throughout the course is required.

Certification:

Upon course completion, students will receive formal certification from MHFA England, typically within 4-6 weeks. No refresher course is currently required, as the certificate remains valid.

Tutors:

Our trainers for this course are accredited by MHFA England as approved trainers for the program. We collaborate exclusively with trainers who have demonstrated high-quality training over several years, earning exceptionally positive feedback.
